Demonic headbands by Deadly Cherries

As you know I've been creating deer antlers headbands for a while now :) And I decided to try something new recently. These are my new designs of Lilith headbands.

The blue one is still at the store and the red one is gone.

This one had a black sister but I was so in a hurry to ship it out, I forgot to take picture after I made it :( Customer asked for a similar headband but with black roses.

This one is the newest one :) I love making these more demonic headbands :) But on the other hand I always love to try something new.

I also want to brag a little. Lindsay  Schoolcraft who plays keyboard at Cradle of Filth bought one of my headbands and asked for a custom order latter. This is the headband I made for here. She wanted something dark with eve leaves and Lilith horns. The picture doesn't do the justice but it looked great :)  It kinda prompt me to make more demonic horns too.

I will continue making more darker headbands since I want to discover something of my one, that would be more unique and would have my signature.

Deadly Cherries: Dark Maiden hair band

Some how a few days ago I managed to sculpt few decent looking skulls from polymer clay. And some new creations followed them since I decided to use them for a hair band.

 So here's my newest work!

I got a little bit tired from the plain look I was presenting them on my Etsy shop, so I decided to use props I had to create a little "mess". I also added some of my jewelry. The little porcelain tea cup is from an antique tea set that was a Christmas gift from my father.

Of course the simple photos is a must too as I want you to be able to see how it actually look :)

I also got an order from my BF friend to make a necklace for him. This was the first time I had to make something unisex. He actually liked it a loot and will be picking it up next week. As for now I'll be focusing on bands more since I have a  few ideas in mind for new projects:)

Thanks for taking a look ;)

Deadly Cherries: headband

Made another darker headband again!!! I actually started from the dark ones, but the colorful was a bigger hit. This one looks great with a bigger hairdo or dread-falls. I'll have to show you someday :D

It has a hand sculpted skull of a bird, some charms and a fang cameo and is decorated with laces and ribbons. The horns are wider and placed lowers for that more shamanic look. You can find them at my shop Deadly Cherries

Creations for myself: Sweet chocolate hair clip

I used to love working with polymer clay. But now I use it only for making deer horns for my headbands. And my skills got all rusty. Now As I look at my new spontaneous creation I see what Could be done better. But I still like it. I don't know If I ever gonna wear it. Maybe I'll use it for a give away on Tumblr :D Being a little bit lazy for no reason...

Deadly Cherries present: Witch of the woods

"Enchanted deer maiden" is a section at my Etsy store that holds a bunch of head bands decorated with deer antlers and flowers,  ribbons and beads.
I was lost for a while in pastel colors of lavender and purple, since I like to use them in my work a lot. But finally the darkness called me back and a vision of a witch in a deep of the woods came to me.
I usually start creating from one detail, a symbol, a sign, an ornament... And then everything just wraps around itself. The symbol demand companions, companions demand followers and followers demand background. And I create it. I create it till there is a full picture of my vision. Till the vision unfolds itself to a full view.
So this time it began with a crest of a moon. A dark and magical moon. Covered in black with hints of a bloody red.

Then came the  light feathers to accompany the Goddess. Black and red for the woods are dark but full of life.

And little pearls for little rays of light that sometimes manage to reach the bottom of the woods. By miracle, by, chance, by struggle...

The crown of the witch, the halos of the forest dweller...

The with of the Woods needs no eye for she sees with her heart...

I change the material of the horns. I started using polymer clay instead of the air dry material. The horns now are much more durable and lighter at the same time. And I feel better knowing that they definitely will reach the buyer unharmed even if the post office workers will not give much care in handling it. I had a case when a girl got her package all ruined and wet with just the apology from post office for not being able to handle the package properly. And that was it. Nothing else just a pathetic excuse sticker on a ruined box..

Another thing I like is that I don't have to wait for 24 hours to start making a band. I make the horns, bake them, and I'm good to go. 24 hours no is just a merely hour :D And that is super nice.

Thanks for reading :)
