Hands that dug the grave

I'm turning my boy's (my ball jointed doll)body into vampires body. The only thing I had to work was his hands. The rest of the body is still unchanged because I find blushing not such a nice thing because it's starts to chip off sooner or later and you must redo it time to time :( So I'm thinking on blushing just a chest, so I could take those half naked photos of my future vampire. Yes, this body will belong to other doll ( or head if you can say it).  I'm buying Haru ( my dolls name) a bigger body from Loongsoul (72 cm tall). I always pictured him at least 22 years old and with such big head on current body (63 cm tall)  he looks quite young. I was thinking about selling the old body but then it perfectly matched the head I got not so long ago and I decided to keep it. So My main goal is to get that new body for him so my Vampire could get his body :D

I thinking about getting him hands with long nails latter. But instead of buying, I'll try to modify these. But for now dark nails are enough. I wanted to look like he's digging himself out of his grave every night :D

HARU. Studying secrets of dark arts.
Name  means spring in Japanese, because I got him in spring :)
He is and will continue being my demon - alchemist. So his new body will probably get long nailed hands to :>

New bjd outfi: Gothic Lolita inspired

After a few days I already have a full outfit for her and my friend Yuki gave a wonderful wig she had to spare. The color fist her perfectly.

She still has no face up and the body is  not blushed jet. I love her face mold. She has no need for a heavy make up just a natural one. I am a little afraid to attend my first face up but also very exited.

It took  whole day to make her a Lolita inspired outfit. I started at noon and finished by midnight :D  I won't lie, I would like a dress like that myself :D The outfit has all the details:
  • blouse
  • corset skirt
  • petticoat
  • bloomers
  • hairband
  • cuffs
  • purse
  • lace choker
I'm not planing to stop. I hope practicing make outfits for my doll will inspire me to create a whole one for myself :) I'm starting to get a grip on clothes construction :)

Both of me dolls in their fanciest outfits :D

A productive day off

Yesterday was a day off. I started it with no ideas what I wanted to do. Usually I get tones of ideas of how should I spend my day off, but then I just sleep till almost 1 p.m., have lunch aka breakfast while watching anime or "Adventure time" (this time). A little bit of FB, Tumblr and G-mail checking and it's already 5 p.m. So I go  to a bath, then dress up and it's already evening. Time to prepare dinner!!! At that time my boyfriend will get back from his work and we will go have dinner while watching anime ( a lot of anime) ... And off to bed.
But... If I get at 10 a.m. the day usually have a absolutely different turn. At 12 a.m. I'm already done with breakfast and anime and even all dressed up. Since it's so bright, I start to clean the room because all mess is  more noticeable in a day light:D Then the creativity hits me and I sew, cut, glue and do what ever I want and can. So yesterday was a good day and I finished my wonderful Lolita skirt. It's a high waist classic Lolita skirt with blue stripes and little flower ornaments.

It originally was a long gathered skirt (on the left) to long and to big for me to wear, but I knew I could make something nice out of it.

The final result

The fabric is super soft, it has a wonderful shape. I find black and blue quite an attracting combination at this time of my life :) It even has a lining :D That was a tough one. Well, after this I decided to try out pattern making that I learned at our bjd meet up/ workshop and made a jacket for my doll-boy. I'm really like it. I also made a long over skirt decorated in the same way and when he wears the both peaces its looks like a long coat. The wig is also made by me. I decided to make a west to complete all outfit so he could wear the over skirt with just a vest. The pattern construction lesson did helped a lot. It's so much easier to make thing for him now.

He looks like a young count for me now. And he should, because his countess is on her way. I just ordered the deer girl I wanted. I thought it wont be as exited as ordering the first bjd. But it's actually is. I ordered it blank since I'm going to do the face up myself. Never thought I would have two ball jointed dolls :D But if you really want something it somehow turns right for you. At least it does for me ;)

Game of Thrones, weekend outfit and other routine of a Countess

Finally  I had a chance to go home this weekend. I haven't seen my parents since summer I guess. So staying at my dad's hause was few days of totally relaxation away from my sewing table witch is making me crazy. Since I'm a person of no patterns I try do do everything just by taking a look. I use no patterns. And they ARE NEEDED sometimes...
I'm glad I'll finally got my winter coat. It's way to cold now with the thin one I had and now I can be sure I won't get cold and won't have to wear 2 sweaters when I go outside. I also snatched a cardigan from attic. All unused stuff  are kept there as well as some season clothes. So I found a high collar blouse, a shrug and a white T shirt for reconstruction.
I also had a chance to dress up as a doll :D It was fun for me and since we played "Game of Thrones" all Saturday, I just had to look royally :D

I played for Baratheon house :D

Love the motto :D
The game devoured almost 5 hours of our time. Not to mention we had to leave it and to finish it the next morning :D So I definitely recommend it if you enjoyed the book and the TV series.
We were leaving on Sunday. My sister entered the room when I was putting on my fourth skirt layer. That's how I travel with them to keep them smooth. She asked "Why do you do that?". "Because it's fun" - I answered.
The last day coordination was my favorite. I decided that the wide sleeves are definitely my favorite ones and that the black color suits me best.
And yes... I colored my hair black again...
Blouse - off brand.
Corset - Ebay
Sleeves - attachable, made by me.
Cardigan - reconstructed from an old dress.
Skirt - an off brand. I added ribbon a and black lace.
Shoes - borrowed from sister just for this photo.

The coordination with the white collar cutsew and a white underskirt was nice but not as nicely dark and warm.
Blouse - a cutsew from a simple long sleeve and lace
Cardigan - off brand
Cosrset - Ebay
Skirt reconstructed from a large off brand skirt
Underskirt -  made by me.
Well,I like this outfit as well as the first one, is just I don't really know about the white collar. Maybe it's not so bad. :)

I got payed for a purchase few days ago and was all like "oh, a new dress!!!" but it was so hard to pic which one I wan't ( since I want so many) that  my eyes started to hurt. I decided that it's silly and left that matter. I still got a lovely JSK and a dress I haven't worn jet.
But since inner shopaholic was still roaring I decided to spend them on my darling Haru ( who is a ball jointed doll from Luts company). He was sleeping in his box since we got a cat. At first I was afraid the cat will scratch him, then I got involved with Lolita and started to sew everything for myself. I took him out time to time just to feast my eyes on his beauty. But today I decided that I might actually get him new boots and that super expensive wig that cost actually more then mine :D I still can't decide  should it be grey or white... So I'll start making an wonderful Gothic dandy boy outfit for him and then we'll see what wig and shoes will suit him best.

Oh!! And there is an Event on Luts site. And the limited edition boy got my attention too...

:3.... I don't know what it is with deer and me these days :D
Oh, he would be perfect pairing for my cold looking Haru...

P.S. As my track number shows, the Bodyline shoes I've ordered is already at the post office. I hope to receive next day :)

Usual day of mine

I've been working on some new projects. A cutsew  and a collar. The cutsew is kinda finished. It needs some more details, I think. The good thing with making your own outfit is that you can modify it during the time. So I'll try to wear it and see what is missing...
When I finish a piece I always make a photo because that way it is easier to see the whole view of it. I wouldn't post such photos on blog since they usually are erased. But this one made me lough a lot.  As I found out, I had a stalker in the back ground :D

Try to find a kitty in this photo :D
and yes, when I work the pieces of fabric is scatering all around :D
I'm wearing me new cutsew with white collar and cuffs and a white underskirt with lace trimming.

I found those lace quite cheap and I could not decide on what skirt I wanted them to be. Then I thought " Why not make a underskirt with this  lace so I can wear it with any skirt I like". I love white lace peeking a little bit :) Everything else is my old stuff: high waist skirt and the shrug you saw a few posts ago.
I find some interesting fabric that I took.

I decided to try and make a JSK from it. I have an image of it in my head with dark blue bows, a white pearl chain and some more laces. It would be more classical Lolita but with darker accessories it would be a more aristocratic look ;) I hope I'll succeed.

Day outfit: Casual Gothic Lolita inspired

So I went to check some fabrics today. The weather is cold and I hate it. My warm coat is at my fathers house and I need to go 300 km to pick it.  It takes 3 hours to go there by train. I think I'll have to do that on weekend, because it's getting to cold with my thin autumn coat. Here's today outfit.

High collar black shirt, striped shrug, high waist skirt, moss green stockings. I'm wearing a puffy kera punk skirt under this one to give it at least some shape.

The big sleeves can be removed. I made them myself. I would were them if I would go to meet someone at a cafe or other place. But since I was off to do some shopping, it stayed at home. I just wanted to show it to you ;)

Here's the short sleeves. I'm still thinking should I order the petticoat or make it myself.

Make up is quite light. I put black shadows on the corners and blended it with dark brown. The hair is simple too. Just two pony tails. I'd love to have some black flowers in it. I'll make something nice and acceptable for me to wear. Bows are just not my type of hair accessory. But I do think that hair accessories complete the look ;)

One of my purses I have. I think it fits perfect with this outfit.

There is a bat bow on it. I made it myself and attached with hot glue. I saw the purse on charity shop and decided that I really need it. It's a perfect little light purse when all you take with yourself is phone, perfume, wallet and home keys;)

And here's my today catch. Demonia black faux suede charade.

They need a little bit cleaning  I wanted Demonia charades for long time, so I picked them despite that they were a little bit small for me. I'll try to wear them at home to see if they will stretch a little. I know there a tricks to make shoes bigger. I have real suede heels that were small at first but I sprayed the inner part with alcohol and walked with them at home and they stretched and now a perfect. If these Demonia beauties will do the same, I'll decorate them to look more fancy, if not, I'll try to trade it into something similar :/

"The heel is about 11 cm and the platform is about 5 cm. So the real high of the heel is 6 cm and they are quite comfortable to walk" - that's what I said to the cashier when she asked are they comfortable to wear. She replayed that the running in these still wouldn't be comfortable. I laughed and said that I'm not wearing them for jogging :D She smiled to my answer :)

Thats' all. Thanks for reading :3

Remaking your clothes: Goth DIY

The autumn finally came as well as the need to change some items in my wardrobe. I need new trousers, new tops, shirts and so on. I don't like spending big amount of money on clothes unless it's a specific piece like this skirt I really want :)

I don't know where all buckles and hardcore items went from my wardrobe. There never was much of them to begin with. But now all I have are laced skirts, tops and velvet jackets :D I have only a one pair of wearable pats and they are black denim trousers... I need to add back some industrial or at least something more edgy. Or else I'm gonna turn in to big pile of frills. Not that it's bad, but it's just that I don't want it at the moment. I like my style to be versatile. From romantic to edgy. In order not to store to much clothes I do a trade with myself. If a new item comes, an old one has to go...
First of all I need to get (or to make) myself a pair of trousers. I have a pair I don't' wear at all and they are particular new. I'll try to sell them or trade them into something more me.

                                                            So somethings like this.

They look quite comfortable

It's always hard for me to pick trousers. I hate when the waist is to low and every time you sit you reveal your underwear. I don't like when it's to tight and you can feel every stitch on you legs. But too wide pant looks so so.  There is no such problems with skirt :D They are rather all comfortable or too short to feel comfortable :D My best outfit during winter was warm leggings and  knee length skirt. It was even warmer then wearing pants and we have quite cold winters. And plus your boots are not covered how it usually happens while wearing pants ;)

And for the top I thing I'll have something like this

I love tops with open shoulder and the straps makes it comfortable to wear. I never threw out all kinds of belts and straps from old clothes, because I can use them on new ones.
For example, you can take a simple black long sleeve shirt. Cut the neckline (2), add the straps (3) on shoulders or even on the chest if there are no applications already. Or you can go further, cut the sleeves and add lace, fishnet or straps between them (4).

For more romantic look use wide ribbon on shoulders and decorate the cut with the lace of your choice;) It will take a hour or less, but you'll have something unique and totally yours;) So never throw out an old stuff with still good straps or buckles on it. cut them out and save ;)

And zippers... Black zippers are a super fast way to gothisise your stuff.
Like here. Just add zippers on a stripped (or not) blouse and voila :)

You can always combine two old pieces to make a new one. For example take a top of  an old piece with beautiful sleeves whos bottom got ripped ore something and a striped bottom of another piece who's neckline maybe is not looking good anymore. Just sew them together on the chest line...

...and add buckles for heaver look ;)

I had a whole box of cut out goodies, but throw them out while moving out to have less things to take with me. But I always search for an interesting details in second hand shops. I remember once buying pants only for the buckles since the pants were in a bad condition but had absolutely perfect straps with buckles on them :) So good luck. i hope it was helpful. Tell me if you want more ideas on remaking your clothes ;)

DIY: Gothic frame hooks

So, in one post I have mentioned I bought framed hooks similar to these.

The pictures were not very impressive but I had an idea to change them to fit my taste. So I ripped off the pics, painted all frames in black acrylic paints and with a smallest paint brush I could find I draw a new pic.
And here is the result.

They hang in our kitchen,as you see.

You can have many different variation with these such as

I like this last the most. I'm thinking about making more of them. You can glue your or your friends pictures, paint the frames, glue beads to it or decorative flowers. Glue details like bats, skulls, cameos. Glue something into the frame like tiny cup, parasol or any pendant you don't wear any more. You can put a mirror in, or a love letter. There are many options:)

It's just a tiny details for now. I still want my bloody bath with bloody mat and curtains. A mirror with candel holders in the vestibule and other stuff. But since it's only a second month for us living here we have only posters and my handmade bats.

As you can see I am a fan of pillows :D Photo taken while preparing for a BJD fan meet :) new clothes end etc. My little boy will be neo East military man or something like that. Lots of black and some red :D

I just learned that Bullet for my Valentine is quite a nice band. All my life for unknown reason I was confusing them for My chemical romance :((( Only when I saw this poster that is now  hanging on our wall, I realized my mistake :/

We got the place absolutely empty, so the first thing on our list was furniture. Now that we got it, we'll do more decorations.

Goths in nature

So on 23th of June  we went  to my sister's (and her husband's ) place. Did I mentioned that I'm an aunt now?? :D Yes, I have a month old nephew :) So my sister and her hubby live in a farmstead and we decided to give them a visit :) Since they were busy with the newborn we found a way to entertain ourselves :) We walked around the field, gazed at the horizons and talked about nothing and everything :D  We had little chats with the little family between the feeding time. It was discovered that I'm quite good at calming my nephew :) he fell to sleep after a few minutes after I took him on my arms. And was calmly sleeping all the time while our men had a ride to a nearest shop for some supplies :D Wuahahahaa
The fun began when the evening came. My Mr. Lynx ( lets call him this way since "Lynx" is his actual nick name) started a fire. It was a good one despite the fact that it took a while to make it :) The ember stayed hot during all night.
We  had some sausages to fry over the fire not to mention some shashlik.  We wrapped sausages into lavash together with some vegetables and toasted it over fire for less then a minute. It was amazingly tasty. :)So we stayed by a fire singing song we remembered ( HIM and Lake of Tears were included :), drinking vine, smoking and chatting.
It started to rain early in the morning and we enjoyed the sound of rain pouring down on the tin roof. So here's some more photos from our stay :)
