Nice things come after bad ones

Oh my, another month has passed :D oh, it was whole two???.. Time sure flies fast. All half of year seems like a month to me. Crazy crazy, but beautiful month. With some losses...some finds... and things to think about.

Well, the losses... I'm single again. As much as I want to contemplate on it, I must move on. I loved this human the deepest. But love itself is not always enough. But thanks to this time I learned some things about myself. I still love... I just don't ask anything in return.  And expect nothing. I just sit and watch how it all melts away. It's like a fire that you simply stop kindle one day and just sit and watch how it  goes out little by little depending on how big it was made.

Some finds.... Well there are quite a lot of those. My new room mate, that I really like. Not to interested in my life but understand my obsession with bj dolls, oriental culture and doesn't care for bats on every corner in our flat :D Always up for a good chat or a movie...and some vine :)

Also my new doll. Limited beauty from Soom. Got it this summer, never had a chance to brag :D

Another find is my lovely new bag that has everything I wanted in one :D It's perfect in every way :D

Got it from Banned. I love those little skulls on the fabric :D

It has long handle as well so you can wear it as shoulder bag. 

Next is my new favorite artist Chiara Bautista. Check out her Facebook ;) I just love her.  And it had nothing to do with me trying to eat my heart out... Well maybe a little :p

Miniatures in my life

 I want to make a room for my dolls and since most of my dolls are aristocratic Gothic vampires/alchemists and other creatures like summoned deer spirits, the room itself will be stocked with antique furniture and accessories that are likely to fit the habits of my... dwellers.

My boys are smart. See how both of them are reading. But while Haru is studying, Count Lestas D'Lacrua is reading for his own entertainment.  

I started to look for miniatures things  that would fit the size and would not be to small. This week  I collected some more stuff for my dolls :D

 My latest ones are the candlestick (really heavy) and this porcelain vase (?) with rose painting.   I found it in a second hand store. That's where I hunt for these thing and it also became a little hobby of mine.

 

The little box was brought to me as souvenir.  At that time I wasn't even thinking to ever have a bjd doll.  Now it will be and useful accessory as well as memento :)

You can see the size compared with my Resin Soul Ai who is 58 cm tall.

 I also got two wooden tea boxes and will be converting them in antique cupboards quite soon. 

 They look big when standing by itself and get way smaller when one of the dolls stands near. I'm planing to make cabinets form them. One of high legs (slimmer one) and for other I jet need to buy a wooden box with drawers to put it on.

Just thinking if I should take photos of my steps to post on DOA since I usually make everything very spontaneously. But I'm really happy with these findings, though my biggest dream is to obtain a nice porcelain tea set that would fir sd bjd size and would be realistic enough :)

Kimono and mini cupcakes for BJD

We are  having a BJD kimono workshop, where our super talented friend Inari San is teaching how to make a gorgeous kimono for our dolls. So as a thanks to here I made a little sweet set that would fit the dolls. It's cupcake, tartar and a doughnut. It was a first try to make food after a long period, but I think I did good.

This one is meant for smaller bjd that are 1/4 size. As you see it's a little bit to small for my 58 cm doll. But I'm making another one that will fit the size of larger BJD :) 

And here's the kimono I'm working on.

It's being made just like a real size kimono and there are some rules you have to fallow. I have a one sleeve finally done with all inner lining and so on. I'll have another done till next meeting and hope then I'll finish it.

Did I tell that the fabric we are using are actually a real vintage kimonos. They have stains on some places so they are not wearable, but there is enough fabric to make a few kimono for dolls. And she has quite a stock of them :) :D 

When I picked this color I was not choosing it for some special reasons, but later I found this picture of Tomoe from Kamisama Hajijemas and could not be more happy about it :D

I'll make a cosplay of him for Haru. Now that I have the main piece :D

Dolls outfit: red and black

Red and black is one of my favorite combinations. I often use it not only for myself, but for my dolls to.  And as the host posted a doll herself, I thought I can joint :) Here is my 60 cm tall boy from doll company LUTS. The sculpt is Abadon and I names him Haru which means "spring" in Japanese. These photos are from the last big meet up we had. Entire outfit is made by me. Even the boot are modified platform boot I bought and made them to look more biker boots. The accessories, the jacket, pants and shirt are designed and sewed by me as well as the gloves he wears :) The wig is "Monique" wig. They are super soft and amazing quality wigs. Their site has crappy photos of them, but nobody need better, since they now hove superb it actually are. Damn, my hair are not that soft as this synthetic fiber :D

My darling stands here with no sport :) as well as in all other photos. He's a tough one :) And since I know his possibilities I like to pose him in more challenging poses that are more realistic:)
