Winter, boots and raw food

Winter finally strikes. It was quite warm for a winter till last week, when the cold weather came back and now it's -16 Celsius. Not that cold but still... I already had hopes it will be a winter with no snow. But, oh well...At least I have my warm coat and a hat that keeps my head safe from the stingy weather. Do you spot my new boots? The brand is DEMONIA.  The shop had a good discount for the last pair that was of my size, so I bought them. They are really comfortable, but I'm afraid they won't last long since it's a artificial leather. I'm thinking about saving money for another pair of New Rocks that would be flat. I know they are worth the money they cost. So New Rock boots and another piece of Alchemy Gothic jewelry is on my list of  things I want in 2014 :D.
 Off to work.

Other things on my list is get more raw food in my everyday meals. I'm doing quite well, I'd say. I don't use any mayo or other sauces from the shop. Instead I blend avocado or cashew with garlic and herbs I have.
My favorite at the moment is green pea and carrot salads.

I use cashew "mayo" and add leek. Today I also  blended banana with cacao, few cashew nuts, a piece of avocado and added some sesames on top. It was really tasty. It was a little hard at first since I struggled with the ideas what to have for lunch at work. Winter is not the best time to start raw diet since all veggies and fruits become  quite expensive:D But I really do feel great. No more heave feeling after meals and that is great.

Witches dance in my closet

In my book shelf there is a spot dedicated to pagan/magic/spell books. I used to be crazy about them and grab any "magic and spell" book I could found in book store. But then it was rare to find anything as a spell book in a book shop. Now there is tone of them. All are different, almost for any case you need - from home protection to bringing your partner back. Well, in few years I learned that magic works for everyone on their own way. And smile to myself when I hear people arguing over them as how wrong it is or how good. It's nor this nor that. But I guess every witch, knows that.
I love all the movies about witches.

My favorite one is "Practical Magic". I've seen it many times and it's still fun to watch.
I love the whole atmosphere of the movie, the spells they cast and the midnight margarita :D

"The Witches of Eastwick" is another movie I can enjoy every time I see it :)
The voodoo part always creeps me out :)

The new ones I enjoyed were:

"Stardust"
Witches  are not the main characters in here, but I still like this one.

From my young days I imagined witch as a lady with long dark hair wearing a super long dress or skirt that sweeps the floor when she walks. I do like maxi skirts a lot. They must be wide enough and to "dance" around my legs as a walk.  And when it's so long, that you cant even see the legs it seems like the person is floating and not walking :D
I want this from Bodyline

Some how I started to like more elegant looks then the edgy ones. Spikes and buckles are not so fun anymore. Sometimes I want a plain long black dress...

heavy accessories like big ankh pendant

A black bolero

or a jacket ... depending on your mood.

or a long cotton coat :3

and boot. Boot's is my must be :D

Apparently I have everything but the dress....

Despite all the frilly stuff going around I still keep some witches in my closet. And I'll always will :)

Lace top for warmer weather

So, I ordered a blouse from Ebay and it arrived today. My wardrobe is really in lack of tops so I decided I need to purchase few. I liked this one because of the lace and the high collar  I find it really attractive. I think it will go well with both Gothic and Lolita look. I'll just have to tone it down for Lolita by wearing a jacket. That will give more modesty to the outfit. The fabric is surprisingly soft. I was afraid it will be a itchy laces bot no they are not. The price was about 12 dollars so it's really affordable. The size is one and it's "S" but a bigger girls would fit it too, How ever for the XS it would be a little bit lose. I tried it with satin corset and a long skirt. Perfect for warmer weather. Though for a really hot day I would recommend something from natural material like linen , silk or cotton ;)

Well, I can say it's very versatile and will look good while rocking a party or attending grandmas birthday ;) Or even on a job interview . Combined with the jacked or cardigan of course since you never know how much of skin one think is decent to show.

Simple Lolita inspired outfit

Outfit I had few days before  becoming black again :D

It's very simple, just a handmade skirt, simple shirt and a black sweeter. The bow is attachable. It went on other skirt latter. And I think it's not the last journey of its :D

This is how my hand made skirt looks with new bows. I still want something more on it...

I had a chance to wear my black pearls necklace. It's first time I'm really wearing them and not trying :) I got it from my mother as a gift. I love how they become warm after few minutes of wearing them. And they are ice cold when I put them on .

Now go and have some coffee :)
Sebastian will serve you the sweets .

Game of Thrones, weekend outfit and other routine of a Countess

Finally  I had a chance to go home this weekend. I haven't seen my parents since summer I guess. So staying at my dad's hause was few days of totally relaxation away from my sewing table witch is making me crazy. Since I'm a person of no patterns I try do do everything just by taking a look. I use no patterns. And they ARE NEEDED sometimes...
I'm glad I'll finally got my winter coat. It's way to cold now with the thin one I had and now I can be sure I won't get cold and won't have to wear 2 sweaters when I go outside. I also snatched a cardigan from attic. All unused stuff  are kept there as well as some season clothes. So I found a high collar blouse, a shrug and a white T shirt for reconstruction.
I also had a chance to dress up as a doll :D It was fun for me and since we played "Game of Thrones" all Saturday, I just had to look royally :D

I played for Baratheon house :D

Love the motto :D
The game devoured almost 5 hours of our time. Not to mention we had to leave it and to finish it the next morning :D So I definitely recommend it if you enjoyed the book and the TV series.
We were leaving on Sunday. My sister entered the room when I was putting on my fourth skirt layer. That's how I travel with them to keep them smooth. She asked "Why do you do that?". "Because it's fun" - I answered.
The last day coordination was my favorite. I decided that the wide sleeves are definitely my favorite ones and that the black color suits me best.
And yes... I colored my hair black again...
Blouse - off brand.
Corset - Ebay
Sleeves - attachable, made by me.
Cardigan - reconstructed from an old dress.
Skirt - an off brand. I added ribbon a and black lace.
Shoes - borrowed from sister just for this photo.

The coordination with the white collar cutsew and a white underskirt was nice but not as nicely dark and warm.
Blouse - a cutsew from a simple long sleeve and lace
Cardigan - off brand
Cosrset - Ebay
Skirt reconstructed from a large off brand skirt
Underskirt -  made by me.
Well,I like this outfit as well as the first one, is just I don't really know about the white collar. Maybe it's not so bad. :)

I got payed for a purchase few days ago and was all like "oh, a new dress!!!" but it was so hard to pic which one I wan't ( since I want so many) that  my eyes started to hurt. I decided that it's silly and left that matter. I still got a lovely JSK and a dress I haven't worn jet.
But since inner shopaholic was still roaring I decided to spend them on my darling Haru ( who is a ball jointed doll from Luts company). He was sleeping in his box since we got a cat. At first I was afraid the cat will scratch him, then I got involved with Lolita and started to sew everything for myself. I took him out time to time just to feast my eyes on his beauty. But today I decided that I might actually get him new boots and that super expensive wig that cost actually more then mine :D I still can't decide  should it be grey or white... So I'll start making an wonderful Gothic dandy boy outfit for him and then we'll see what wig and shoes will suit him best.

Oh!! And there is an Event on Luts site. And the limited edition boy got my attention too...

:3.... I don't know what it is with deer and me these days :D
Oh, he would be perfect pairing for my cold looking Haru...

P.S. As my track number shows, the Bodyline shoes I've ordered is already at the post office. I hope to receive next day :)

Pimp my slippers

I bought simple slipper and pimped it up with applications :)

A little bit of lace and a bat. Its bet someone stepped on the back when I was walking and it got ripped. But they were fun to walk in for that short period :D

Thas's all for now. Take care ;)

Hand made Lolita inspired skirt

So here it is - my first handmade Lolita  inspired skirt. Not a reconstruction. I sew it from a fabric I bought at a fabric shop near my home.

As you can see, hundreds of kitties are dwelling on my skirt.

I bought one meter of fabric. And it was hardly enough. So I think for a girl like me who wears size 36 the amount of fabric should be at least 1,5 meter. The fabric was 1,20 cm wide so I cut in in half and had 60 cm x 100 cm  wide pieces. The seams stole about a 1 cm each and I had to cut about 10 cm wide strip for the waist, so the bottom of the skirt is about 175 cm. I think this is the minimum width for a skirt you should make or else it wont sit nicely on you. Next time I'm going for 2,5 meter.  The making was simple. I sewed one side of a fabric to make one long piece, then I sewed the bottom laces and decorative laces on the front. Only then I sew the other side together, gathered it and sew the waist on. Here's the scheme.

I still don't like the bows. I'm thinking about getting more fabric and making them bigger...

By the way, I made this shrug too. But I'll leave the close up investigation of it for the next post :)

UPDATE!!!!

I replaced little bows with big black ones. I think it looks much better now.

Hosiery: a way to diversify your look

I always envied my friend who could wear over knee socks because of her absolutely gorgeous legs. Her legs are slim and long, while I have more of femine figure witch remind sand clock. Usually over knee socks roll down from my tights or maybe I never found the right size for me to wear. So the tights that looks like over knee socks  were the perfect solution. I'm so happy I can wear them and feel really comfortable :D

 I do love them :P

My J-rock skirt goes well with it too...
Well, all short skirt goes well with it. And shorts too... and black bloomer that I have :>
But my real passion is colorful striped tights and all ornament of fishnet tights :) I love to wear stockings during the summer. The gather belt makes you feel very womanly and I don't like those with latex lining for better holding. Gather belt do that just perfect :D

Stripped ones are my favorite. I used to have all palette of  them. Need to restock it really bad.

Its so easy to match with these. Have something blue on your top, there go with the blue/black stripes.
Red ornaments on you vest. Well, black/red is best for you to chose :D

One color pantyhose with ornament. I always match them with my tops ore accessories I wear (hair bows, pins, ties and so on)

Spider net. Good for any occasion. Wanted for a long time and finally got them with just the perfect web design :D

Simple net bigger or small is something I can't live during the summer. My legs are always pale and I get bruises very easy, so net fishnet is best to give a little bit of cover and stay cool.

Hosiery I want to obtain ( or must):

Doll leg tights

Gothic Lolita knee high socks

Skeleton tights

Harlequin tights

AND

and I want all kinds of fishnet tights. I love them all. You can wear them on colorful tights during the colder season or enjoy cool breeze during the summer. They are best ever :D
