Wool dreads

I'm kinda obsessed with wool dreadlocks since they can change your look really fast, can be installed and removed without much trouble and are cheap and easy to make :)

I was decided to make a bunch for my personal use. I'm quite a crafty person so and I thought I'll have no problem making them. And I was right :) I used this tutorial  h  and it was super easy to make them. Also, they wasn't really hard so I love that too.  How ever... I wasn't completely happy with my color choice. For some strange reason I decided to go with black and pastel wool like lavender, pink and deep pink... But the color didn't suited me. 

After looking through many photos of wool locks I found out that more natural earth colors attracted me the most. And it just happened that a friend of mine had some auburn/orange wool she wasn't using and gave it to me.  And completely accidentally two days ago I made that wool into locks and now have a complete black and auburn dread set that I love :)

These a wool locks ponytails :) Really simple to make with a bunch of double ended wool locks :)

Maybe I'll make a tutorial if I'll kike doing that :P

When your work place can't handle your hair

There is always a way :) Like myself. I have straight black/red hair. I dyed bangs all black and rest of my hair is a mix of black and red. And when I have a need for a more drastic look I just use my dread falls. People always mistaken them for real hair so I guess they must look good :D Any way, here's a few different  looks wearing the same dread falls :)

Going purle

My hair finally almost the same length it was before the cut. 

And I started to dye them in purple so I would get an ombre kind of effect while they will grow.

I succeeded once by dying them in red. So I hope to be lucky again but with different combination :)

I wonder how it will work this time :D

Deadly Cherries: headband

Made another darker headband again!!! I actually started from the dark ones, but the colorful was a bigger hit. This one looks great with a bigger hairdo or dread-falls. I'll have to show you someday :D

 It has a hand sculpted skull of a bird, some charms and a fang cameo and is decorated with laces and ribbons. The horns are wider and placed lowers for that more shamanic look. You can find them at my shop Deadly Cherries

Halloween head decoration: Enchanted deer

The night of Halloween is tomorrow. I'll be working late but I'm still hoping to hop in at the local alternative club to relax a little bit. I'll have  a little time to prepare so I planing to use tricks such as my black wig and a head piece I created specially for it:)  The puffy skirt and black jacket will do the rest. And who needs a heavy make up with a heavy hair accessory like this :D

It took about one hour to make it. I had a plain band, lace, ribbons, skull and unpainted little deer horns. I just made bows and then glued everything how I liked it to be :)

The horns and bird skull are made from modelling material that dries in 24 hours. These horns were made for my BJD Haru. But they were unfinished so I thought "what the hell..." and combined them into my  hair piece. I do love those little horns. I have big ones too ;) The bird skull is quite easy to make, but you must be neat or else it will look wrong. Skulls are always perfectly shaped, that's why I like them, but a real skull is something I could not wear. I feel strange wearing a fox fur too. On the other hand I have no problem with leather boots or corsets and stuff...

I bought the wig on Ebay after I was surprised by the quality of the cosplay wig at my friends home.  So I searched  ordered  this one in black.

I always was wondering how those Lolitas had such perfect hair. Now I know :D

It costed ...11$ with shipping so I decided to try and I wasn't disappointed. It was shiny black and full volume wig. The synthetic hair is quite soft. The best you can expect for such price. The curls were really nice but I kinda brushed them of. They were to perfect. But I think you can remake them with hot steam. It's a pity I don't have a wig stand so I can model it only on my own head and sometimes it's hard to handle it.

I trimmed the fringe a little since they were way to long and that long doesn't look so good on me. It doesn't look exactly but I like it non less. The problem is that I find this black to perfectly healthy looking. It looks to good. I thinking about ordering another one hat would be brown and shorter. I'd love to wear it on daily bases but I feel I want something more simple ;) or shorter at least. It's hard to handle such a bundle of hair :D

Day look and hair coloring

I'm feeling well, at last. After three days of hell with fever I at last was able to put my New Rock one and hit the town. Me and my friend decided that it's a time for us to color our hair. So we met in the morning and when to do some shopping.

 Boots!! :D

 I'm wearing contact lenses. So I had to take this pendant with me :D It's kind of cute ;)

 The make up was not to intense. Using Scaredy cat production as always :)

 Just before leaving the home.

The shopping was successful. I've found the color I desired. I decided to go for red orange since I wanted to make my hair a little bit lighter. We shall see the true color after several washes ;) But I still like how it looks. So fresh, I would say.

I also bought some little peaces  for jewelry making.

I'll make simple spider web earrings from it, a pendant with cage and leafs and earrings with just leafs. The little bird on the bottom will be used as a little pendant for every day. It was to cute not to purchase it :) I'll show what I made latter ;)

I also got a new black eye liner with a super thin applicator :D It's easy to apply on and I hope it will stay all day long. Tomorrow is a day off to.So I'll probably will be going out to. You just can't stay at home having a new pair of boots sitting in the corner :D

Deer horns. Back to black woods...

Remember the deer horns I was making along with the Evil frame from hell?? I'm done :) So here are the horns. I'm really happy about them. I'm thinking about a photo session where  me and my friend are gonna to try them out :D I just have to make a pair for her :)

Here's the deer itself. Photos were taken in the morning before my work. So no much make up. I'm thinking about a nice photo shoot while we have snow here :)  I'm thinking about all black outfit with long skirt, bare feet on snow and our red hair dazzling in a wind. Let the hunt begin. We need to find a cute hunter for us :D

The theme was a little bit inspired by The dark Victorian "Art post" about two enchanted girls. 

I'm a big fan of fairy tails :)

Hair band "Bats glide on the Halloween coffin"

So, I came to this idea while being at work. And as soon as I came home I did all I could to make it real. And here it is. A fun and cute hair band special for Halloween.

 It took me a bout a half of a hour to make it. I used cardboard, hot glue, black silky fabric, some wire and black acrylic paint.

 I cut out bats from cardboard and attached them to wire with hot glue, then painted them with black acrylic paint.

I got the idea how to make the coffin from a tutorial "How to make a coffin purse".  I made it how she made the top of the purse. Then I attached it to a hair band with some leather strap and hot glue.
I'm really happy with it. Now I don't have to go to Cemetery to see bat gliding. But I still will going there  tomorrow. Just to see a million of burning candles placed and the resting places of all those gone souls. The scenery is always amazing.

Black eyeliner make up

A free day at last... I love my job, I do. But I can't go to it all fancy creepy black, so I keep it for my free days.

Sun is bright as it's in the autumn and my red hair is sparkling too. I love this color red, but I want to make it a little bit brighter. the time to dye is coming so I will try something out.

 And yes, I bought those fancy skeleton hands I was dreaming for so long. I found it for a very good price on Etsy. Now I got six of them :D Two goes for my friend as soon as I get more clips to attached them to. Other two. Well, it's always good to have some spare skeleton hands in your closet ;)

 Here are some black ribbon clips I made. I wanted something simple but cute. But now I want to add something too :D I can't go with very simple I guess...

And of course, the make up....

 It seemed to light for me so I put some golden shadows on the upper lid.

 You can see them here. If it was evening, I would probably add some black and purple shadows. The best about this is that I can do it latter. So the day make up turns into evening just by adding some darker colors. Myebe I'll add a photo latter. When the evening comes ;D

 I want to reshape my eyebrows into more firm. I need to color them anyway. I'm not good on doing it by myself and to lazy to go to a pro :D

The last photo... The line came really good. I got a birth mark on the outside corner of my left lid. It always gave me a hard time to make a clear line. So I decided to make it a little bit lower. And I guess it looks good too :)
