Midnight Gypsy Alchemy perfume oils review

It's not a first time that I'm buying perfume oils from Midnight Gypsy Alchemy. I love the scent and package and the seller is a really nice one to deal with. I was looking for a cherry and chocolate perfume for quite a time now and was really glad to hear that MGA has such scent as a St.Valentine scent which is sold only on February. Here's the description of it :) 

LOVE ALCHEMY-A hypnotic potion of natural cherry and almond extract, cocoa absolute, essentials oils in sweet patchouli, lavender and chamomile blended with hand ground cardamom, chai tea, patchouli leaves and infused with real cherries.

 Luckily the owner offered to make it for me and I ordered a big butte plus dusting powder of this scent. I was told it should be ready to ship on August 1, but the date passed and I got no messages so I contacted seller on August 9 to ask how it's going on. She was making it special for me so I was OK with delay. I got an answer that it's ready to ship. So I was waiting happily for the message to appear in my email, that "your package has been shipped". But it didn't. I checked my Etsy account and saw that it's marked as shipped. The seller just did't send me notification but that was really not so important. But something inside still got annoyed. Just a little bit. All others purchase from MGA wear perfect. I buy, wait for a it to be shipped ( and it's always shipped on the term), get the package, open it and enjoy the heaven of scents :) This time there was some kind of interference. The Midnight Gypsy Alchemy perfume oils works as antidepressants for me. The bottle, the scent, the consistency of the  oils. It's like magic potions to me. And I use them as ones :D I love them. So I chased my unhappy thought away and happily waited for it to arrive. And it did.

 Inside was a box with a oil bottle in it and dusting powder which is quite big :)

 I newer used one. The consistence is like flour and it's doesn't get out so easy. I must first spread some on my palm and then rub it on my skin. The scent is nice thought. A little bit lighter then actual perfume but I really like it. And after reading more about it I think I'll be using it a lot. But I would rather like it to be in a flat container with a small dusting puff for a more easy use :) 

The bottle... So here's where the disappointment started. I noticed that the bottle wasn't full and it all was all slippery and covered in oil itself.

It must have leaked. It was a smelly mess. When I tried to opened it more stuff came out from the cap and there was oil on my hands and on the bottle. So I tried to rub it on my skin. The smell was fantastic and I didn't want to lose a drop. And I was already loosing it!!!

 Also I saw something that looked like not fused oils. "Season of the witch" had something like that but not in such big amount. But well, I just shacked it well and it was gone. But the cap got full of the oil somehow and it spilled on my hand again when I tried to open and smell it :( And it does that every time. So I lose quite a big amount of oil every time I try to open it. I'll have to find some other bottle to keep it or it will be empty in two week :( And I love this sugary Cherry spicy cacao smell. But it doesn't like me I guess. I wont' be opening it till I fount another container for it. I'm already all covered in it as well as things around me since I rubbed it on other things for not to waist the smell. The jewelry box, scarf, clothes.. :D 

I noticed that  consistence was strange. It was more watery then oily. And not as clear as my other perfume oils from MGA. Here's all three bottles.

 Season of the witch is the oldest. I use it quite lot ( for two months already) and there is more of it in a bottle then in the freshly arrived one.

I hope it was some kind of one time misfortune and the consistence of "Love Alchemy" is the same as those two. And that this liquid was a karma thing :D I'm not gonna stop buying. I'll order again and even order "Love Alchemy" but maybe when it will be sold during it's season :) ( the smell is soooooooo good!!! <3). And I heard new Fall scents are gonna be out soon and I'm sure I'm gonna love it.
 I hope this won't repeat to me. I guess it's the bottles fault or the consistence of this oil. It just fills the cap and stays there. And that means it must stand all the time and cannot be carried in a purse. Maybe the bottle was defective after all. At least I smell like a most tasty spicy cherry dark chocolate pie. I'll keep the oily box in an organza bag and hang it in my wardrobe.

About the scent itself:

The first thing that hits to me is sugary almonds with a fresh cherry. That almonds in caramel coating scent with fruity note is wonderful. The sweetness itself is restrained with spices like cardamon and more tough patchouli and soften with chamomile and lavender  Later cacao absolute breaks its way out and stays with you till the end with sparkles of chai tea.

So when the season of Love comes I do recommend to check it out. This is a love scent for a darker souls ;)

Toxique Emporium devil/ram horns review

As title says, it's a review of my purchase from Toxique Emporium. I happened to come across a pair of gorgeous looking plastic  ram horns on Etsy. The price looked really good. 20$ for the horns and 10 $ for the shipping. So I added it to my list of favorites to consult with my mate before ordering. Few days latter I saw that the price has dropped to 17$ and I ordered a pair. Now as I think I got them really cheap:D Since after a few weeks the price jumped from 27$with shipping to 49$ with shipping. But the girl was getting a lot of orders so it's only normal since all similar items on Etsy cost even more. There was few negative feedback sin which people were complaining about the time it took to get their order and that the seller didn't respond to messages. Well, as a seller myself I know that sometimes personal issues gets to you because we all are humans and being a seller on Etsy doesn't make it different. So I ordered it since I had plenty of time and was not afraid to wait especially since they looked so good and were so cheap ( at that moment) I ordered the plain horns in black with no straps.

I ordered on May 2 and it arrived an June 26. That took a while. After almost two weeks from ordering I   politely asked when approximately I should expect them to be done and got respond after 10 days that the  horns were supposed to be shipped today  but supplies needed to finish my horns have not arrived jet. I responded that I'm not in a hurry and I understand the problem. After a week there was another message in which the seller apologized for the delay since they had medical issues and told me that the horns will be shipped next Friday. But Friday came ant the were no notifications of shipping so  I asked about it again and  mentioned that I would love to get them before my birthday that is few weeks away. And the same day they were marked as shipped :) 

From her Face Book page I know now that she does everything by herself as well as I do. That's hard. I sometimes have no mood to leave a house even if there is a parcel to be taken to post office. That annoys but since I know the other side of this I kinda understand... And the product is good  :D 

They came in a simple soft post bag with no additional wrapping and I was afraid they will be scratched or broken.

But no, they were fine. So they really are durable :) And they are light. So light you can forget you are wearing them.

The pattern is really lovely and realistic. 

They lack the finishing touch but it's not that visible so I'm OK with that. And after I'll paint them to be more realistic that won't be visible at all.

And here comes the horns in action!!!

The horns are... fantastically comfortable to wear and hold so good on the head It's hard to believe :D I do love them. I would wear them daily but I'm afraid I seriously scare some old grannies by looking like that. You don't expect to meet demons while doing your grocery :D 

 I've seen  that now there is mentioned that it takes 4 to 6 weeks to make the order, so you must be patient. But even with the higher price this is still the cheapest devil horns on Etsy that look really good and have the perfect size and shape. I really recommend to join Toxique Emporium on Face Book, since she post there time to time, and it's easier to post one message on the wall that all followers will see then write personally to everyone on Etsy. 

So, If you need a pair of diabolic horns, I recommend it. But be ready to wait for two months before they are shipped.

Midnight Gypsy Alchemy: review

I was stalking a perfumer shop on Etsy for almost a year. They had those amazing scents with beautiful dark and Gothic descriptions that sounded so wonderful. But some how every time I visited that shop I would end  up not ordering again. And one day after during the same "visit, browse, add to card, leave without ordering" routine I decided to check for more shops the would sell perfume oils with wonderful dark descriptions ( when, those are the only way to try to imagine the smell) ans ingredients.

So I did, and the first one I checked was Midnight Gypsy Alchemy. And the same day I ended ordering four samples pack from it :) Why? I just could guess. Another shop had so many similar sounding perfume oils, that it was really hard to decide and MGA had less, but all were different.

Prat I -  choosing and expectations 

So I started to pick looking which one of them had my most lovable cents - apple, rose, patchouli, cinnamon and jasmine. So, by the most attractive description and consist I picked these four:

Season of the Witch - cinnamon, coriander,apple, rose, patchouli, lavender, frankincense, black pepper.

Raven Spell - Violet, orris root, blueberries, apple, dragons blood, cassia, sandalwood.

Chocolate Mystique - cocoa, chocolate, coffee, cardamon, vanilla, sandalwood.

Pavo Real - strawberries, rose, jasmine, Orris, orange, honeysuckle, patchouli, bergemot, cori.

I had very high expectations Chocolate Mystique since they had the most ingredients I love. Chocolate Mystique has all of them!!! Cacao is my happy drink. Whenever I'm sad I just make myself a big mug of cacao. So I  got all cozy just by imagining the smell. Plus vanilla and cardamons are most common spices for ginger cookies and the coffee should tone down the incredible sweetness of the smells and give a more sophisticated note. This perfume has none of my perfume smell I like, but it sound extraordinary having all smells I like particular.

 MGA takes 10 working days witch is about two weeks to make and send your order. I totally understand 10 days process of making it and have no complains because it's a delicate work and I bet the orders are coming all the time.

Part II The real thing

Everything was packed beautiful. I got card with printed descriptions of the perfume oils and one extra - the Music of the night, that I really liked.

So, does I got what I was expecting??? Oh yes.

Season of the Witch. First impression - frankincense. Then something fresh strikes and I guess it's apple and rose. After it, the cinnamon catches the apple and two of them creates a new scent - apple pie :) Then comes patchouli. It's really season scent  Autumn. That deep sweet odor of fallen leafs, the fruits that are ready to be picked. It's lovely. And it's magical. It's sweet, but not that bold sweetness. This one has many notes. The rose, apple, lavender are escorted by cinnamon, patchouli and black pepper. Black Pepper  is a wonderful note of this scent  This was one of the reasons I chose this perfume oil to try. It's deep and seductive, jet not to hard to make you feel dizzy.

Raven Spell. I expected it to be dark and cold. But blueberries change everything and it's warm and sweet at first. I feel like a little child in a forest gathering those blueberries and eating of them half right away. The scent lingers trough my finger sweet and fresh as the taste itself. Then comes the dark lady and takes me by the hand. And I'm spirited away to a mystical place. To the tale itself. In this journey I meet wonderful fresh apple and cinnamon ( cassia). Then something sweet and dark comes along - the sandalwood. A rich and magnificent odor. I feel like in those tales where little girls are spirited away and end up on a mystical ball being all grown up ladies in fancy dress escorted by a handsome spirit/demon.That is the perfume  - childish, warm and playful at first and turns into deep and seductive later.

Chocolate Mystique. Oh my Goddess! This scent is all I expected and more. It's so rich so overwhelming. It's sweet and bitter the same time. The first thing that strikes is cacao, then comes the cardamons and chocolate and coffee comes along. Vanilla and sandalwood are the final notes. I keep smelling my wrist as I write this. I must have a big bottle of this :D The odor is deep and that what I like the most. It's sweet, but it's dark. It's definitely Mystique :) It lifts my mood right away. Soft and spicy, jet sweet but with the touch of bitterns...

Pavo Real - I had no Idea what to expect from this one, but I was intrigued by strawberries having affair with orange and jasmine. And orange come first. It doesn't reveals itself for me so perfect as others, but it's still amazing odor. It's just not mine. I don't really feel the strawberries. Maybe my nose is already overwhelmed by all those scents it had a blessing to experience today...

EXTRA sample added  by seller Music of The Night. It's definitely a citrus perfume and a very pleasant one. It's fresh and green and I can smell fresh lime fused with Bergamot ant a hint of Tobacco.  Then comes something more sweet which is still accompanied by the light hint of lime. An odor of the flower-  yaang- ylang.  But the freshness do not fades. I like that it's not a bold citrus odor that strike  right away through all other scents, but rather a delicate one, wrapped in many other ones :)

I really like Chocolate Mystique, Season of The Witch and Raven Spell. They all are similar but have different main notes. Like a bitter chocolate for Mystique, blueberry and sandalwood for Raven and Rose and pepper for the Witch.

The Witch for it's pepper seems to most pleasant for everyday. The Chocolate is a must have during a winter to lift the mood to you and those around you. And Raven Spell... Well, perfect to put a spell on someone during an enchanted evening.

Now I want to order something light to. I loved the Music of the night a lot too. I guess, I'll order a sample with the full bottle of Witch and Chocolate for now :)

Conclusion

If you consider ordering from MGA, I say you go and order. Lovely packing, wonderful scents. And to know that it created and mixed by Nina herself. It's like ordering a magic potions from a sorcerer. And indeed she's a sorcerer of perfume oils :) And I've become another enchanted client :>

Bodyline shoes 146 - I like it

So I finally decided to post about Bodyline shoes I ordered.  It took quite long time to arrive. My packaged left the dispatch center only after 10 days after it was delivered to it. The order was made on 2012 10 30 and it reached me at  2012 11 21. It came in Bodyline box, there was no other wrapping. Well, I don't mind that since they were not damaged during the delivery.

 The first thing I didn't like was a strong smell.  But I payed 37 $ with shipping for it, so I should not be complaining about the quality. But still the smell is not a very nice thing.They look exactly like in the stock photo -  elegant and dollish. 

I was using this size chat I found on EGL n (Elegant Gothic Lolita) live journal.I  usually wear 39 - 40 Europe size. 40 usually goes for boots, since I want to be able to wear extra socks during the winter. I decided that it's better to have slightly bigger shoes that slightly to small ;) So, after measuring and remeasuring my foot I choose the 250 size which is  Europe 40 size and  Japan ladies 25 ;)  And it was ok. At first it felt  slightly to big but it might be just because  of the shape this shoe has... They felt just perfectly after few more times. There is a lot of room for my toe since the top of the shoe is quite round, if you can say so. My friend has Demonia boots with a similar round "nose" and the feeling wearing them is very similar.

The shoes seem be well inough for you to wear them. Just as average shoes you buy at mall or supermarket. It's just mine are much more prettier :D It would be perfect if it was leather since the only bad thing about them is the material they are made of. But as far as I know the branded Lolita shoes are also made from artificial leather... Any way, I find that the quality matches the price and even overcomes it :) I took them from the box and the smell was gone after a few days.

They look really nice, are comfortable to wear. At first  I felt that the front part starts to gall my feet after a few minutes. Maybe because they are new or maybe because my front of the feet is quite wide. That part of the shoes is quite hard too. But later the feeling disappeared and now they are really comfortable.

In the end I would say that that after few more times trying them I really like the model. It's  between that dolly sweet and Gothic look. Not to sweet but not to edgy either. They can be worn with pin up outfit or with more classic one if you need to tone downs your looks.

All in all it's 5/5
- The shoes looked exactly as in the photo. So  I got what I picked out.
- Ordering was easy and simple. Liked it a lot.
- You get what you paid for. I would say that I got a pair of very beautiful shoes for a very good price.
- Communication. I didn't need much. I made my order, got my confirmation and a tracking number. That's enough for me :)
- Shipping took longer then they promised but not longer that my usual package from China or Japan.
So it was fast enough.
I haven't worn my heels outside yet, since it's winter here. We'll se how they'll handle it.

I will surely order something else from their shoes section. My sister already want to order creeper from it.  

And what I also like is just after a year of wearing you can just throw then out and buy something new. I don't like to keep a big pile of shoes at home. It's more fun to change old shoes with new ones that collect them till there is no place to keep it :D 

Halloween head decoration: Enchanted deer

The night of Halloween is tomorrow. I'll be working late but I'm still hoping to hop in at the local alternative club to relax a little bit. I'll have  a little time to prepare so I planing to use tricks such as my black wig and a head piece I created specially for it:)  The puffy skirt and black jacket will do the rest. And who needs a heavy make up with a heavy hair accessory like this :D

It took about one hour to make it. I had a plain band, lace, ribbons, skull and unpainted little deer horns. I just made bows and then glued everything how I liked it to be :)

The horns and bird skull are made from modelling material that dries in 24 hours. These horns were made for my BJD Haru. But they were unfinished so I thought "what the hell..." and combined them into my  hair piece. I do love those little horns. I have big ones too ;) The bird skull is quite easy to make, but you must be neat or else it will look wrong. Skulls are always perfectly shaped, that's why I like them, but a real skull is something I could not wear. I feel strange wearing a fox fur too. On the other hand I have no problem with leather boots or corsets and stuff...

I bought the wig on Ebay after I was surprised by the quality of the cosplay wig at my friends home.  So I searched  ordered  this one in black.

I always was wondering how those Lolitas had such perfect hair. Now I know :D

It costed ...11$ with shipping so I decided to try and I wasn't disappointed. It was shiny black and full volume wig. The synthetic hair is quite soft. The best you can expect for such price. The curls were really nice but I kinda brushed them of. They were to perfect. But I think you can remake them with hot steam. It's a pity I don't have a wig stand so I can model it only on my own head and sometimes it's hard to handle it.

I trimmed the fringe a little since they were way to long and that long doesn't look so good on me. It doesn't look exactly but I like it non less. The problem is that I find this black to perfectly healthy looking. It looks to good. I thinking about ordering another one hat would be brown and shorter. I'd love to wear it on daily bases but I feel I want something more simple ;) or shorter at least. It's hard to handle such a bundle of hair :D

Alchemy Gothic Sacred Heart

I finally had a chance to get another beauty made by Alchemy Gothic. I bought it second handed, but it's still in a perfect condition so you wouldn't guess it's not directly from the store :) I wrote to the seller the same minute I sow it. I had no doubts that I want it. No, not want it. I desire it :D And so now I'm an owner of a Sacred heart :)

Isn't it a beauty. I just love it. It's more gorgeous in reality ;)

 The red color is actually bright as blood :) My camera was probably jealous and stole the redness :D The roses carves are really detailed. The piece itself is simple but so elegant and has that enchantment that all Alchemy Gothic creations do. It has black ribbons that gives the soft look and is more suitable for this pendant then a chain.

 How do I look? Oh, I love it. It makes me want for more of Alchemy beauties :) It's an addiction :D 

Don't mind the kitty ears. As my bf said " you wear them so I could not be angry on you for anything". And I said "Nya" :D

P.S.  My hair have almost grown back as it was before I cut them :D

New purchase: New Rock platform boots

Woohoo!!! I always was dreaming about getting a pair of New Rock boot, but they never were in my nearest future plans. Until yesterday. Yup, now  I got a pair. It was a big sale on our local internet shop and I decided to check it out just for curiosity. And I ended up ordering a pair of these beauties :D

Now they are proudly sitting in the corner and waiting for the show up. I'm quite sick at the moment, so they really cheers me up.

I never had anything from New Rock and I never had platform boots too. But damn, how comfortable they are!!! And I love how tall they make me :D I'm 181 cm while wearing them. 

I was never considering buying these ones. But now I'm glad I did. They have some nice details...

as little skulls on the outer sides..

 ...and web pattern inside. Such cute details makes girls happy :D Come on, you can't dislike the web patter inside the boots :D

 They are real leather boots so I hope they will serve me well for a long time. And you can really see the quality. The stitches and the sole are very good made. They have anti - slip pad, what is perfect for our winters :D The platform in the highest place reaches 11 cm. They are not the lightest boots but are much lighter then I though they would be. The zipper is on the inner side. It looks strong and saves time, because I hate lacing shoes.

I want to take them for a walk right now. But I'll have to wait a little bit and save them for the time I'll be feeling better. Running nose doesn't add fun to anything you do :)

Review: Scaredy Cat eye shadows (red and brown)

Remember last review? :) I've already tried the red and brown shadows too :)

 Sakura, Cirrina, Dee's nuts and Muertos. Sakura is my favorite since it goes perfectly with my hair color :) It is on top of my top eye lid. I applied Dee's nuts on my bottom lid, a little bit Cirrina on the inner corner and Muertos on the middle and outer corner. Don't forget the dots :)

Next time I'm mixing more colors together. I could play all day with them.  I have an idea to make a organizer for those little bottles. Just to help me keep them safely. I'm thinking about coffin shaped organizer. One day I'll have to sit and count hove many coffin shaped stuff I have :) 

And I love my hair color in this photo. During past few days I wasn't very happy with my look. Something is missing. I want my long hair back:(( I know I had to do what I did. The ends were splitting and braking. But still... Any tips for making hair grown faster. A lot of you, ladies, have such a nice long hair:P 

Review: Scaredy Cat eye shadows (blue and green)

Since I have a shop on Etsy, it's natural that I often check others shop to see what goodies it sells. Lately I become obsessed with natural cosmetic. I bought some hand made face creams and scrubs from a local shop uogauoga.lt They smell divine and my skin feels really good. So it's only natural that I decided to order some mineral cosmetic too. The shop I chose to order from was Scaredy Cat. I just love those little bottles they are offering their samples in. So when I sow the Black Friday offer, I just could not resist and ordered some. The package came this morning and made my day.

 I have already tried some of them and was not disappointed :)

 This is the shadows I used today: Eire, Draconia, Snow Bird, Chakra and Nevermore. I expected Nevermore to be a black one. But I'm happy as it is, because it is non less perfect. I chose the green and blue ones to test, because I found them really fantastic, especially the firs two ones. You should see how they shimmer and how wonderful the color is. I'm in love with them now.

So here's the make up itself.

This is the first pack of such colorful eye shadows in my collection, but I like them.

The shadows are really easy to apply. It's a little bit difficult to get them from the bottle, but I'm getting used to it.

I love how the colors merge together. It's very fun to combine them. The only bad thing that is that they flake of on the cheeks easily, while you try to put them on... I'll have to do something about it, since I hate that kind of stuff :D

But I really recommend this brand. 

Next time - the brown, golden and red shadows. I can't wait to try them :)
