Gothic/dark jewelry organizer you can make yourelf

Here's another DIY. It's really easy, and I think you all can see what I did here :) I just used twigs, hot glue and acrylic paint.

I painted few artificial leaves black and hot glued them to the twigs. Twigs are also hot glued to the frame. You can add anything else you want. Be creative :)

And this is how it looked before....

So, if you needed something cheap but cute, here's a perfect solution for you. You can leave it for notes or use it for jewelry. I'll be  making another one for notes too. I have  a big urge to goth up every corner of my flat, since I'm living alone for the first time :D

Turning things black :D

Oh, such a busy person I am. No time to even right a post. But here's one. Short, but...better then nothing. I'm rearranging my flat again since I decided to make the other room just a bedroom, so the main room would be living/working room. Before it was living/sleeping/working room... and the second one was just a storage for things that had no place :D
I'm a big fan of candles and every night I burn a good bunch of tea candles in my colored crystal glasses. I like how the soft light shines in the darkness and I fall asleep so easily :)

\\
My glasses

I bought a few hundred of them on a sale and decided to keep them in the box on the window shelf. The only free box I had was this yellow one and I decided that it needed a revamping.

Now it's all nice and black and has bats :D I did felt a great pleasure covering this yellow thing in beautiful black. :P

Take care!

From Ferrero to Gotherro

I got myself a black Acrylic spray paint that can be used indoor. I have a few cans of black spray paint that leaves room unusable for a 12h and I'm not a fan of those. But this thing is a miracle.
Just look what I did with the empty chocolate box. It took like 30 min. to revamp it :D

I got Ferrero Rocher for my birthday and kept the box. And one day ...

It was transform into one fitting to be used by me :D Have no idea what to keep in it...

It would be a nice gift with or without chocolate ;)

Gifts wrapping

Holidays is here and I got myself a nasty illness that locked me to my bed for a week. Its better now but I'm all dizzy from medicine I had to take. At least I have all presents I wanted to have. I'm always nervous about buying or making presents since I really want a person to be happy with it. So I end up stressed out over it. I wanted to make home made candies at first but since I got sick I couldn't do it. And making it a day before Christmas would would be impossible. There are crowds of people everywhere and it's not enjoyably.

But everything is done now. I even managed to wrap them in a little bit Gothic style. By adding bats :D Take a look :P

I think it's cute and nice. I still remember my grandfathers face when I was celebrating my 30th birthday with family and decided to decorate table with paper bats and spider XD and bloody red napkins :P I will never grow out of it. I become to love it even more. All those cliche things .. I love them too.
So, take care, I hope you all are ready to enjoy Holidays :)

Moss terrariums in a vine glass

I decided to make new terrariums again and got moss and dirt  for it. I just felt to lazy to start making it. Few days ago I remembered two glasses of wine I kept on my window shelf and decided that they would be perfect for this. So all the moss got new home. It has jet to get green since it got dried from staying in a bag.  But that's the cool thing with it. No mater how "dead" it looks it will get green again after getting some water :D

Here it is right after making it. The making of little thing to add waits ahead. I jet need to decide what it will be: a fairy garden, graveyard, or a forest ground :) What I like about these moss terrariums is when the winter comes and everything is cowered by snow, these lit the islands of green really cheers you up :)  They are like mini world of awesomeness :D

Bat flower pot or anything else you would use it for :D

So here I was, siting with an almost empty pudding container in my hand. And suddenly  a thought came in that it would be perfect size to keep the little plant I got.  My mind started browsing images in my brain's archives and I got an idea that was inspired  by little  coffee cups I've seen and liked a lot. (I would love to own these babies, but have no ideas where to by one.)

It's very simple way to get your home ready for Halloween without buying decorations from supermarket. It's easy and can fit any size container :) And if you have children ( my friends just continues getting pregnant :D )  it's easy enough to make this with them.

Making the wings :)

While the amount of bat decorations on my walls are growing and already are taking over bathroom the only thing my boyfriend said was:
"I'm not going to stop you".
He doesn't suspect I got an idea for our cat that includes bat wings too >:)
Any way, thanks for taking a look! I hope you'll find it useful ;)

Gothically yours,
Countess

Home decor: Bats! Bats everywhere!!!

So as I continue to decorate my home in Halloween theme I decided it's time for bats. I bought a thin cardboard that is strong enough to keep them firm but is not to strong to allow me cut out five of them at once. I cut the body and wings separately and glued them together. That way they got a nice springing and it was easy to make  bunch of them. It took me less then 20 minutes. They look nice on any object but for now they are landed on my doors.

Here's my pattern if you want to use it ;)

Check out the detailed tutorial on Cut out and Keep if you are interested ;)

Framed Pumpkin. Home decor

So, I'm full of ideas as well as bad mood. So I try to chance it away by making something. Here's my last night fruit...or veggie:D
I really wanted some nice orange at home, now I have it. But I want more!! I really like how it looks. It was quite easy. I sculpted the pumpkin from clay and painted it. Everything else was cut out burned to get that old look and glued on framed piece of fabric :)
 Enjoy ;)

Flower pot DIY when you need one but all you got are tin cans :)

I was making new area at my home and  spontaneously got some plants. But I had no flower pot for them. I tried to place them in mugs but it didn't looked right. There were few coffee cans at home and I decided to use them. Everything turned out quite nice and I'm planing to make a matching one for a smaller plant. There is a half fool corns can in a fringe that is waiting for its transformation. This is a really fast way to decorate your home with no expenses. You can change it after a time when you are bored of the look and what something new. . It looks nice, And I can change it the same way to another color or add more matching flower pots just by using cans from corns beans or anything else :) Here's a simple tutorial for you.

All you need is a can scissors, glue stick, packing tape (transparent) and some firm packing paper.

Measure it so it would have enough height to cover the can. The length should be just enough to wrap it around plus  4 cm more.

Glue one end with packing tape to the can.

Than wrap it around, fold the edge in a little bit and glue it with glue stick.

Check you pattern. I managed to glue it upside down at first :D

For decorating it I took a hand made cameo I had....

... passed a black ribbon through it and wrapped it around.

 Thada...

I secured the back with the transparent tape, so the ribbons would not move.

Done!!!

Let me know if you'll use it :)

Gothisize your sunglasses

So, I bought these sun glasses once at my old workplace. They costed only 2 dollars and I thought "why not".

They are those big plastic glasses with wide legs (if that's a word to use) :D The shades go from dark purple to light grey. Today looking at them I got and idea to pimp them a little bit. I always wanted a casual glasses with ankh o pentacle, and it cameo to me suddenly... that I just can glue the pentacle to the frame of it :D

 And that's what I did.

 Hello new sunglasses!

And how do I look?? :D I would prefer little ankh but I only got big ones at the moment. But as soon as I'll order smaller ones, I'm glueing them to my other sunglasses :D

DIY: Dead man finger tutorial

So, here's a simple tutorial how to make a finger part for any decoration ideas. You can use glue it on a pin, a bow, a hairband, even make a brooch out of it or a necklace. Just a simple spooky accessory for those in love with zombies and horror stuff.

I use DAS modeling material for my projects. Polymer clay is also good. Then the "finger" will be more light.  You also need a spatula and some water.

Take little peace of modeling material....

...and form a plain "finger".

gently squeeze it  to sections just like in a picture, this will let you form limbs.

Roll the parts you squeezed  between your fingers to make them more smooth. You'll notice that the main limb is now formed very nicely

Take a spatula and press in the nail.
Now add wrinkles to the limbs using the same spatula. A knife is also good for this.

 Here how it should look.

 Now gently bend it

And let it dry for 24 hours. The bending gives  a better shape if you'll use it as a hair pin. and it looks more natural to me. You can choose not to do it.

Now, when the finger is dry, just paint the nail how ever you like. You can add some red color to make it look freshly cut, to dye it green. Or do both for a zombie effect ;)

Now it's ready to be used... as a pin, bow decoration or even a pendant. Just don't forget to make a loop when it's still soft if you planing to wear it a s a pendant. Or you can use dough and make some nice treats for Halloween or your birthday..or any other time you feel like cracking some fingers ;)

Have a nice DIY;)
