More Bodyline!!!

It just happen so that one evening I come upon a sale on Bodyline!! It was one of those mystery sales that happens time to time but no one knows when. Everything was -20% so I just could not resist to order Items I wanted for a long time. I made two order since when I made the first one, I decided that I should order few other things just because.... it's a sale >:(

The stuff finally arrived. One package got through custom safely and another one got stuck and I got to pay the fees. Oh well.
But here's my new super cute skirts I wanted for ages!! I love them both. The striped one is made from very fine velveteen and is a bustle skirt, that can be worn in many different ways :D It has a under bust corset/west. You can wear  skirt with or without it.
The black one is a fake bustle skirt. It has many layers but they can not be adjusted. But it's so gorgeous that I have no words. It's comfortable and has lacing and shirring. If you are thinking if you should get it. Don't think any more, just get it!! muahahaa, it's so beautifully amazingly fantastic!

The second one was some items I kinda wanted but wasn't sure. But since they were on sale, I got them...

It was a "Maple sugary waffle" skirt and to boleros. Ar red and a black.

This one is already a quite nice coord :D

The red one is nice, while the black one is not really...  how to say... to much lace and ribbons for me. It looks nice in picture but I  don't like the image when I'm wearing it... To frilly maybe... I like to take frilly skirts and tone them don with not so frilly clothes.

The skirt is lovely. Just what I expected. I just remade the big bow as always. Made it into a smaller one and a tiny one that fits into my palm :) It looks cute as a brooch too :) I wore the skirt to work since everybody wanted to see my waffle and cherry skirt after I appeared with my chocoberry one.

I combined it with simple shrug and Mary Janes I wear at work :)
I don't always go to work like that because even I get tired looking like a cupcake. And I want to leave my frilly  clothes for my days off.. Than it's more fun to dress up :D

New purse: Antiuqe Clock from Restyle.pl

It’s already two weeks since I got my Antique clock purse from Restyle.pl. I do love the style but was a little bit disappointed in quality.

Here it is :)

The sides of the clock face is uneven. One side is sewed closer to the edge then other. It’s not that noticeable, but when you see it it annoys you constantly as well as the fact that the cord to keep the bag round was not linked together at the correct place at the bottom and the shape is a little weird when you actually carry it. But again, that’s not so noticeable. I thought it could be a little more bigger… But it will do for now. After all it’s not made to carry your groceries :D I love the design. The short handles could be thinner thought. Now they don’t look very elegant. Inside is made very neat and it has a small pocket  with zipper.
Would I buy again? Despite all little defects, I would say YES.
Why? Because it’s in Europe, so no custom problems for me :D It took less that a week for it to arrive, the price is not that bad and the designs are interesting and original :) I just wish who ever sew those would do a better job next time :D

A TIP:
Take a measuring tape and check the measure of your desired bag on it to see how it actually looks, since  they look bigger in pictures, then you think it would be ;)

Creations for myself: Sweet chocolate hair clip

I used to love working with polymer clay. But now I use it only for making deer horns for my headbands. And my skills got all rusty. Now As I look at my new spontaneous creation I see what Could be done better. But I still like it. I don't know If I ever gonna wear it. Maybe I'll use it for a give away on Tumblr :D Being a little bit lazy for no reason...

Something new from Deadly Cherries

I almost forgot to show you my new line of jewelry I made recently. I was kinda stuck on old ideas and stopped enjoying the making of jewelry. It seemed to me like I started  repeating some of my works and they looked to similar. So, to get new ideas for my dark jewelry I had to do something else. It's like you leave one field to rest a little bit while you plant in other one. And since I love making my pastel horns I decided to try using some pastel colors in my jewelry. So I made something under name of Pastel Goth. I like the name "Creepy cute"  for this fashion more, since I look at it as only fashion. And word "Goth" for me is more of a life style and inner world thing. But here they are, my darkly sweet collection of candy like jewelry ;)

You can find the here on my Etsy shop Deadly Cherries

BJD exhibition, cosplay and Japan culture

It's Monday morning, the weekend is over and it was a fun weekend. I don't have all photos yet, but here's some I manage to get.
To begin with I took a part at event that takes place every year and is called "Now Japan". As the site of this festivals states "„nowJapan“ – the biggest traditional and contemporary Japanese culture festival in the Baltic states".
We had an exhibition of our dolls. They were various demons on ancient Japan. Mine is The one in vine red kimono with white hair and spider legs. He was Jorogumo -  a spider, that transforms into a beautiful woman and lures men by playing biwa ( musical instrument much like lute). He then would devour them.

I myself to a chance to dress in full Lolita :)

Firts day.
I'll have more photos latter. I spotted a few other girls dressed in sweet Lolita. And it  appears that last year there was even a Lolita competition :D

The second day was more free for us since we didn't have to watch after our dolls and were free to enter and leave whenever we wanted. It was a cosplay contest day so there were much more people in costumes.

We had a chance to meet the Evil Queen from "Sleeping Beauty" :D I loved how she was siting and drinking her coffee, gazing at passing people. She really matched her character :) And we voted for her too :)
And only in his photo I noticed that I and my BF matched each other really well  :D
The only problem was with ventilation. Since we had to stay from early morning till 6 p.m. it was hard to stand that stuffy air in the building. The were no fresh ear and no condition...
The only food was sushi and you wasn't allowed to bring in yours. I forgot to put my bracelets on last day and thought that it was nice to have some jewelry selling stands like I see in photos of other similar festivals ( events).
I brought home a poster of Black Butler. Some how I was aloud to buy that one, but not the figurine :D And I got my name written in Japanese hieroglyphs.

Deadly Cherries present: Witch of the woods

"Enchanted deer maiden" is a section at my Etsy store that holds a bunch of head bands decorated with deer antlers and flowers,  ribbons and beads.
I was lost for a while in pastel colors of lavender and purple, since I like to use them in my work a lot. But finally the darkness called me back and a vision of a witch in a deep of the woods came to me.
I usually start creating from one detail, a symbol, a sign, an ornament... And then everything just wraps around itself. The symbol demand companions, companions demand followers and followers demand background. And I create it. I create it till there is a full picture of my vision. Till the vision unfolds itself to a full view.
So this time it began with a crest of a moon. A dark and magical moon. Covered in black with hints of a bloody red.

Then came the  light feathers to accompany the Goddess. Black and red for the woods are dark but full of life.

And little pearls for little rays of light that sometimes manage to reach the bottom of the woods. By miracle, by, chance, by struggle...

The crown of the witch, the halos of the forest dweller...

The with of the Woods needs no eye for she sees with her heart...

***
I change the material of the horns. I started using polymer clay instead of the air dry material. The horns now are much more durable and lighter at the same time. And I feel better knowing that they definitely will reach the buyer unharmed even if the post office workers will not give much care in handling it. I had a case when a girl got her package all ruined and wet with just the apology from post office for not being able to handle the package properly. And that was it. Nothing else just a pathetic excuse sticker on a ruined box..

Another thing I like is that I don't have to wait for 24 hours to start making a band. I make the horns, bake them, and I'm good to go. 24 hours no is just a merely hour :D And that is super nice.

Thanks for reading :)

Coord post: Black and wine

So, I usually like to work with two colors. On of them of course is black :D  I Find dark red or wine color to be one of my favorite. So I can easily pick matching accessories for my skirt which is usually the item that gets to be other color then black in my coords :) I always look for little details that would match the color of the skirts I have. If it's a hand made one, I always try to leave some fabric for a matching bow or cuffs or anything else that would give a nice touch to an outfit.

So, the pieces I wear:
  • Demonia heels (they give more mature look that ones from Bodyline so I like to switch time to time).
  • Off brand velvet skirt. Bought second handed And was trimmed with black lace and a ribbon.
  • Pirate jacket - Fan plus Friend bought from a fellow Lolita on EGL sales.
  • Off brand shirt (Ebay)
  • Alchemy Gothic pendant. I'm second owner.
  • Hair: Flower pin (Ebay) and hand made bow clip.
  • Purse second handed. I love to hunt for purses :D

I like this jacket a lot :) It's quite wide open, so all the laces can be seen :)

It's funny, but when my closet was all just average Gothic I had a hard time to dress for the occasions like weddings or grand birthdays of my siblings. Now it's easy  :D I won't look too dramatic but still be able to dress elegant and dark. But after all I find that it's hard to stick just to one or two styles. Sometimes I even feel like going cyber :D Lucky for my I can DIY most of the stuff so no big traumas to my wallet. But it still get hurts time to time :D Lolita hurt it the most thought :D I just cant to resist all those beautiful frill and they are way more difficult to DIY ;) Even if I could easily make Lolita JSK, sometime it's nice to have something made buy someone else.

Daily outfit: over knee socks

Well, today  it's classic Lolita inspired outfit. I tried the hair bow today. Still not my favorite thing...

The skirt is the one I made. A little bit of color into the all black coord.

Socks... I still prefer tight. Some how I feel more comfortable with them. The kinda look good but it tried to roll down all the time. It's a little bit annoying

Waving for  the sailors :D They were just marching trough my room :D
.
Everything else is my old jacket, bat bag and a jewelry peace I bought from an old lady from handicraft market. I wear a simple black top under the jacket. Well, but there is no use in putting much effort in it during the winter. I do it just for fun. Damn, how I wish for the spring to come...

Bodyline shoes 146 - I like it

So I finally decided to post about Bodyline shoes I ordered.  It took quite long time to arrive. My packaged left the dispatch center only after 10 days after it was delivered to it. The order was made on 2012 10 30 and it reached me at  2012 11 21. It came in Bodyline box, there was no other wrapping. Well, I don't mind that since they were not damaged during the delivery.

The first thing I didn't like was a strong smell.  But I payed 37 $ with shipping for it, so I should not be complaining about the quality. But still the smell is not a very nice thing. They look exactly like in the stock photo -  elegant and dollish.

I was using this size chat I found on EGL n (Elegant Gothic Lolita) live journal.I  usually wear 39 - 40 Europe size. 40 usually goes for boots, since I want to be able to wear extra socks during the winter. I decided that it's better to have slightly bigger shoes that slightly to small ;) So, after measuring and remeasuring my foot I choose the 250 size which is  Europe 40 size and  Japan ladies 25 ;)  And it was ok. At first it felt  slightly to big but it might be just because  of the shape this shoe has... They felt just perfectly after few more times. There is a lot of room for my toe since the top of the shoe is quite round, if you can say so. My friend has Demonia boots with a similar round "nose" and the feeling wearing them is very similar.
The shoes seem be well inough for you to wear them. Just as average shoes you buy at mall or supermarket. It's just mine are much more prettier :D It would be perfect if it was leather since the only bad thing about them is the material they are made of. But as far as I know the branded Lolita shoes are also made from artificial leather... Any way, I find that the quality matches the price and even overcomes it :) I took them from the box and the smell was gone after a few days.
They look really nice, are comfortable to wear. At first  I felt that the front part starts to gall my feet after a few minutes. Maybe because they are new or maybe because my front of the feet is quite wide. That part of the shoes is quite hard too. But later the feeling disappeared and now they are really comfortable.
In the end I would say that that after few more times trying them I really like the model. It's  between that dolly sweet and Gothic look. Not to sweet but not to edgy either. They can be worn with pin up outfit or with more classic one if you need to tone downs your looks.

All in all it's 5/5
- The shoes looked exactly as in the photo. So  I got what I picked out.
- Ordering was easy and simple. Liked it a lot.
- You get what you paid for. I would say that I got a pair of very beautiful shoes for a very good price.
- Communication. I didn't need much. I made my order, got my confirmation and a tracking number. That's enough for me :)
- Shipping took longer then they promised but not longer that my usual package from China or Japan.
So it was fast enough.
I haven't worn my heels outside yet, since it's winter here. We'll se how they'll handle it.

I will surely order something else from their shoes section. My sister already want to order creeper from it.
And what I also like is just after a year of wearing you can just throw then out and buy something new. I don't like to keep a big pile of shoes at home. It's more fun to change old shoes with new ones that collect them till there is no place to keep it :D

Deer horns. Second generation. Romantic Rose.

New set of deer horns was made. I like them so much I'll keep making different hairdressers with them. I love the bows on the sides idea.

I'm still in love with enchanted deer idea. I guess it's my ..hm... second totem animal? Guess which is the first :D

****
I got a proposal from a photographer to use my crafts at his photo shoot and to promote it that way. Well, I think I'll try this. Any way, there's nothing to loose except a few of my creations. But I can gain some nice photos to advertise myself :)

Outfits: Lolita and stuff

Here's some new coords.  This time almost everything is off brand. I have only Bodyline shoes and bolero (shrug).
A long skirt also would look good with it. It would give more mature look.

So lets begin:
Bolero: Bodyline( bought on EGL)
Blouse: Ebay about 10 $
Corset: Ebay about 10 $
Skirt:  reconstructed second handed. It was XXL size, but I liked the lace So I gathered it to fit my waist.
Bag: second handed. I just added the bat bow.
Hosiery: Local market. I'm wearing lace tights over blue ones :)

All the accessories are hand made ;) I like it a lot :D  Could walk it all day but the is no point as long as it's winter since the coat covers any effort to dress up. Oh, spring, hurry, please. In today fashion of denim pants and sweaters I miss this elegance...

"Unfortunately we live in a society where it’s fashionable to dress as peasants.

Waiting for Christmas just becouse

I got up early. I had plans to go to a birthday party of an old friend ( some photos later maybe) so I had to get a present. It's cold outside. A real bad ass winter. And I am not a fan of winter... So sweater is a must thing :)

I have two more skirts under this one. A black for the length and a  Kera punk one to give a little bit volume.  The outfit is simple, but also is the day.

My beautiful skirt stuck in a custom :( I have send all the documents I had. I guess there was no documents outside the box. I'll have to mention it to Clobba next time I'll be buying from them. Good thing is that my gift for my boyfriend also arrived. I was afraid it will took longer since it's a holiday season. I showed him the item some month before just to see what he thinks an he was like  "OMG!!!" And then I had an evil smile. He has no idea I'm getting it :D You, my dear readers, will see it after the Christmas (I don't want any info to leak :D)
I'm finally getting a new laptop. The first thing that came into my mind was "Now we can play Minecraft together!" I'll make him to create me a special skin :D He had an Ulquiorra for himself . I want a Lolita :D

What else... Oh oh. More dresses. I'm a big spender I know. But it's winter. I have a right to spoil myself :D
Its actually a jumper skirt (JSK) from Bodyline.

I ordered this one in black. The front pink ribbons will be change to black latter and the pink lacing on the bag will be removed. I saw this dress on Walrus blog  and I loved it. As sweet as it is, the pink can be toned down by black accessories and give to this dress really nice and elegant look. The main thing of course is the print. I love it. I want my wardrobe to maintain in Gothic stile be it Lolita or anything else. So I just wanted to try and see if a bittersweet print, accompanied by Gothic accessories and dark colors can actually look good on me.
I would love to have such prints as...

The Alice and The Pirates Vampire prelude or
The Alice and The Pirates The black cat, witch and the apple tree
And one day I will and Vampire prelude is gonna be an original. But as totally noob I first want to see if I can coordinate it easily with cheaper brands :)

The other one is a black JSK from the same brand.

I made a decision to order it after reading a review on The Walrus room. It's so beautiful. And you can tone it down for everyday looks by wearing a plain black blouse under it and a simple bolero or you can pimp it up by choosing an elegant princess style blouse with bell sleeves.

It's fun to be your own Santa :D
